The crispy frost weather in Finland can be described lucid, and in Finnish "kuulas" means lucid. Kuulakka could, therefore, be something like "lucidish". It protects your head over heels from cold and decorates any outfit of yours on any occasion. Kuulakka is absolutely the most multifunctional garment ever. It is a wonderful combination of a poncho, a neck warmer, and a hoodie. You can easily match it with your clothes by choosing your own favorite yarns in your favorite colors.
The brioche is not the fastest kind of knitting since it proceeds on every other round only. However, with quality yarns, this is such a joy to knit and also a good pattern to get to know the brioche technique.
Note. Making this garment you need to know the Two-color Italian cast-on technique (or any other elastic cast-on method with two colors) and the Italian bind off for brioche knitting technique. You can find instructions and tutorials for these techniques from books or from the Internet.
MEASUREMENTS
The measures for the garment so far: the width of the neck warmer part approx. 30 cm and the height 40 cm, the total height of the garment approx. 75 cm and the width of the hem approx. 80 cm.
MATERIALS
The sample is made of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light yarn in colors yellowish-green and petrol blue (100 g / 384 m) about one skein each and with a 3,5 mm circular needle.
