Kalevala CAL

The Kalevala blanket, a magnificent and unique gift, was created with the effort of countless volunteers as a present to the entire nation of Finland in honor of its 100th anniversary in 2017. This gift includes instructions for 24+4 squares, joining, and border. Tens of thousands of Kalevala blankets have been crocheted worldwide using these instructions.

You can download most of the Kalevala CAL instructions for free from the Arteeni online store. You can add the desired products to your shopping cart and then proceed to checkout. To "purchase" the free instructions, you only need an email address; you don't need to fill in any payment information. You can download the instructions immediately after "purchase" and will also receive an email with a link to download the instructions later. Since the release of the Kalevala CAL, several years ago, some of the color shades used in the Kalevala CAL project are no longer available, and therefore the color charts have been removed. However, you can select your favorite colors from the numerous Menita Lasse (squares) and Pia (joining and border) shades.
