The Best Knitting Tips

What's Your Best Knitting Tip?
Every knitter has at least one tip they wish they had heard much earlier.
A small realization that saves time, frustration, yarn, or perhaps even an entire knitting project.
That's exactly why Challenge #7 of Knitting Race is: Your Best Knitting Tip
Now it's time to share your favorite knitting tip with other knitters.
It can be related to:
- knitting techniques
- stitches
- yarn
- tools
- finishing
- managing unfinished projects
- fixing mistakes
- knitting patterns
- storage
- time management
or something completely different... perhaps even clever ways to keep family members busy with other tasks so you can enjoy more knitting time yourself!
How to Complete This Challenge
Leave your best knitting tip in the comments on this post. You can write a short comment or a longer one.
If you'd like, you can also share some background information, such as where you learned the tip, how long you used the wrong method before discovering it, or why the tip has been useful for you.
And if you have more than one great tip, nobody is going to stop you from sharing those as well.
Let's Build a Knitter's Tip Library Together
The purpose of this page is to collect as many practical knitting tips as possible in one place.
When Knitting Race comes to an end, the best, funniest, most surprising, or most discussed comments may be gathered into a roundup post for everyone to enjoy.
So tell us your tip.
What's the best piece of knitting advice you've ever received or discovered yourself?

Elämä on runo - taustajoukot
Kaikki osallistuneet ansaitsevat isot kiitokset!

Varresta varpaisiin neulottaessa tee kantapään jälkeiset kavennuksen neulomalla nurin yhteen. Molemmat puolet näyttää samanlaisilta eikä tarvitse muistella muita kavennuksia.
Yhistä yhteen avattavvaan silimukkamerkkiin nii monta merkkiä ku työsä on tulosa kavennuksia/lissäyksiä. Ku kaikki silimukkamerkit on käytetty kavennukset/lissäykset on valamiina.
Sit niitä on samallapuikolla kaks kesken oottamassa ku mielenkiinto loppuu. 🤣🩷
