Happy New Year all! I have just published my Kuulakka brioche knitting poncho pattern.
This lovely and multi usable cloth is a fantastic everyday accessory! It is a mix of poncho and a collar and you can even use it as a hood. It covers and protects you against the cold up to your ears and it decorates your you and your clothes on any occasion.
Brioche knitting is not the fastest way to knit as it takes two rows to knit to get one ready. With luxurious yarns and fibers, it is still a pleasure to knit every single sitch. This is also a good model to start brioche as you knit only around in a circle on the right side (no backside at all, so you need only two different brioche rows to learn)
Sample cloth is made of light yellowish green and petrol blue Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light yarn (100 g / 384 m) circa one hank each and 3,5 mm circular needle.
OBS! In addition to this instruction, you need to create stitches with two colors i.e. two-color Italian cast on or similar flexible cast on and you need to bind off the stitches i.e. with Italian bind off for brioche knitting. These techniques aren’t instructed in this material, but you find several instructions on the Internet or literature.
The pattern is available in both my Ravelry store and the online Store.
